When a user clicks on such a course in the course listing, they are not taken directly to the course content page. Instead, they are redirected to the URL entered in this field. This URL should be a page designed to facilitate the user gaining access, such as a landing page with a form to request enrollment (which can trigger an automated workflow) or a page for purchasing the course. Once the user is successfully enrolled (the contact-to-course association is made), the link in the course listing for that user will switch to the actual course page URL.
