Organize HubLMS Course Catalog Display

Learn how to change the default alphabetical order and use tags and filters to organize courses in the HubLMS course listing page.

  1. Understand that the default course listing view displays courses alphabetically by name.
  2. To customize the order, add the Sort Order property to your HubLMS Courses object view.
  3. Assign numerical values to courses in the Sort Order property to define their display sequence. Ensure all listed courses have a sort order value.
  4. (Alternatively or additionally) Use Tags to categorize courses.
  5. To manage tag options, go to HubSpot Settings (gear icon) > HubLMS courses object > Manage HubLMS course properties. Search for "tag" and edit the property options (e.g., add "blue widgets", "red widgets").
  6. Apply the relevant tags to your individual HubLMS Course records.
  7. Edit the Course Listing website page template in HubSpot Website Pages.
  8. Use multiple Course Listing modules on the page template to create different sections (e.g., a "Blue Widgets Courses" section and a "Red Widgets Courses" section).
  9. For each Course Listing module, apply a filter to show only courses that match a specific tag.
  10. (Advanced) Use Smart Rules on modules to display different sets of courses based on the logged-in user's list membership (e.g., show blue widget courses to beta users, red widget courses by default).
  11. Save and publish the course listing page.
